CD CLUB, CANKARJEV DOM, LJUBLJANA
ARK-2024 will take place in Cankarjev dom Club (CD Club). Cankarjev dom is the largest Slovenian convention, congress and culture centre. The building was designed by the architect Edvard Ravnikar and was built at the southern edge of Republic Square in Ljubljana between 1977 and 1982.
Cankarjev dom was the co-organizer of all ARK symposia held in Slovenia. ARK-2024 will be held in the Hall CD Club, which is adorned with a view of the Ljubljana Castle and a large terrace above the Palace of the President of the Republic. ARK was held here already in 1996.

The development of Ljubljana dates back to Roman times, where the fortified Roman settlement laid on the area of today’s Ljubljana. Roman name for Ljubljana was Emona. After Emona was destroyed by Huns, Slavs had arrived and built a town under the present castle hill, that developed into medieval Ljubljana.
